Look! Installation of bed wood with the large bed-to-frame bolts hidden under the wood is now possible! This gives a smooth, clean look to the bed floor. They are designed to use with the aluminum bed strips with hidden fasteners. The bed strips have special bolts which slide in the groove on the underside of the strip to adjust to any hole location. No welding is needed for installation of a “no bolts” bed. The bed to frame bolts go thru square mounting holes in the cross sills and the bolt head is under the bed wood as shown. The bottom surface of the wood is drilled with a recessed clearance around the bolt head. The boards and strips rest on the cross sills as original, completely hiding the bed to frame and bed strip bolts. This may require a slight modification to your existing cross sills. These incredible bed wood kits are available in oak or pine wood.
