Hardware kits include all bolts, nuts and washers needed to install the bed wood, bed strips and angle strips. Hardware kits are available in polished stainless, unpolished stainless and zinc plated steel. The bolts in the hardware kits are carriage bolts. This means they have a smooth rounded head and a square shoulder to fit into a square hole. Polished bolts are shiny like chrome while unpolished stainless have a matte finish. The zinc plated bolts appear shiny but you need to paint these bolts to prevent rusting. The large bolts that bolt the bed to the frame are included in the bed bolt kit along with the large washers that fit in the bed wood countersunk holes.
